Frequently Asked
Answers to the questions I hear most
- How much does it cost to work with you?
- Nothing. Insurance carriers pay brokers directly, so my services — quoting, enrollment, and year-round support — are always free to you. You'll never pay a higher premium for buying through me than you would going direct.
- When can I enroll in a health plan?
- Open Enrollment for ACA marketplace plans typically runs from November 1 through January 15 in Maryland. Outside of that window, you can enroll if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period — losing job coverage, getting married, having a baby, moving, and other life events all count.
- Do you help with subsidies and tax credits?
- Yes. Most Maryland households qualify for advance premium tax credits, and many also qualify for cost-sharing reductions that lower deductibles and copays. I'll walk you through eligibility and make sure your income estimate is accurate to avoid surprises at tax time.
- Can I keep my current doctors?
- Before we enroll, I check your specific doctors, hospitals, and prescriptions against each plan's network and formulary. If keeping your PCP or a specialist matters, that's a top filter in the comparison.
